Review of Dororo

When Dororo was first being released this season, I heard people gushing over the potential it had and how great it could end up being. I watched the first few episodes and immediately fell in love and started to follow it week by week. This anime is truly fantastic. The anime itself focuses on the story of Hyakkimaru and his journey to get back his stolen body. The spin on this is that this story is told from more of a viewpoint of Dororo, Hyakkimaru's young, orphaned traveling companion. As the two travel across warring feudal Japan you get to see as the two mature andchange greatly. Dororo comes to realise what the world really contains outside of his life as an orphan and Hyakki. Hyakkimaru has the world and his emotions ( good and bad) revealed to him as he regain his body parts that were stolen by demons.

This anime takes a story from many years ago and modernises it to today's anime standards in a magnificent way. I would highly recommend people at least take a shot at this anime as I truly believe it is a fantastic 24 episode watch.
