Review of My Happy Marriage

Directing is poor - There's no consistency and nothing new is brought to the table. Characters motivations are fragile and childish-like (especially the main female protagonist (Miyo). Animation is very good, drawings are good enough. Conflicts (mainly between characters) are more irritating than intersting. Audio design and music are OK (music is felt to be more of a 'place holder' artifact, rather than an important tool to support the whole work of art).There are too many contradictions in Miyo actions and thoughts, that it just throws you off the experience of watching a story.

The 'drive' of characters too easily shrivels and as a result there's never truly a sense of urgency (not even during the action scenes).
