Review of Tokyo Revengers

Good plot and solid story. This anime unfortunately receives a lot of hate and it is understandable from its slow pacing (the worst being the Halloween arc). Nevertheless as someone who did not read the manga, the story is great and character development is not too shabby. Voice quality and overall animation works too - making this an overall enjoyable anime to watch! It’s definitely not your typical time travel story (although it has your usual time travel logic issues and conundrums) as we can somewhat grow with the MC’s character as he forges new bonds and goes beyond his owns limits. But nevertheless theanime drags out certain scenes which takes up a lot of ‘story time’ - this effectively reduces each episode from 24 mins to probably 5 minutes of material.

Nevertheless some scenes are really tear-jerkers so I give this an overall 7.
