Review of Deca-Dence

A great little anime that surprisingly covers a lot of ground in it's 12 episodes. It does this by really focusing on developing the 2 main characters throughout the anime and giving the handful of important side characters a little development here and there. Those side characters are pretty generic so it doesn't take much while on the other hand, the 2 main characters are really developed. Im usually not a fan of 12 episode animes but this one was enjoyable and inspired me enough to write a review, hoping to convince someone else to give it a shot. Ive seen hundreds and hundreds ofanimes, and that can make most new ones all too predictable right off the bat. So many cliches, the same plots, archetypes, etc. This anime was refreshing in its original plot. Its a mixture of other established plots but ive never come across anything like it before and it worked great.

The pacing was great. The animation was great. There are some CGI biggins that arent the best but it didnt ruin anything. Its nice to come across another good original anime along with Fumetsu no Anate e.

Overall I give the show a solid 8.5+. It even has a solid ending! It left me really wanting more and I wish I could explore the world and spend more time with Natsume and friends.

edit: So after reading other reviews you can see all the negative ones are written by people who can barely write a complete sentence let alone spell. I find comfort in that fact for some reason.
