Blue Period really just helps you to appreciate art itself, the intricacy and delicacy of each stroke of the brush, the hard thought into each element and emotion behind each colour, while watching Blue Period I felt the world around me and my vision being painted over in a new colour, showing the wonders of painting, an indirect yet point blank way to show the meaning of painting. Arts are a way for the painter to express themselves, a point of view and perspective from their eyes, on the world. One thing in Blue Period I can really appreciate is the characters and episode morals,Blue Period has 2 stories running parallel with each-other, each story reinforcing the other each episodes, feeding into the main plot and having the same moral, telling a story in a story, while seeming filler, each episode like this really isn't and are created in a way that feeds into the character and plot development, while standing out and away from the rest.

There is only 1 major thing that held this back from being a higher tier of anime, or even a Top tier, is that the ending was simply just not good, there was so something missing and the ending just felt so empty and meaningless, the point of the entire anime was to solve the problems that Yaguchi and the other characters were facing and to solve them through artistic means, and finding an escape from their troubles, and sometimes to face them head on. The ending of Blue Period makes that plot point feel like it just never happened and that the whole point of the anime was for Yaguchi to pass the painting exam into a University of Arts, it's almost like nothing else happened in the story and it was all just Yaguchi painting and learning about how to use colours and composition, and that really just ruined it for me.

In conclusion, Blue Period sends great messages and creates a great path for a story, and executes it really well, with a flow and meaning, but the end blocks that path and the view from the other side, and renders half the plot points from the show meaningless.
