It is decent. This work definitely has shoujo/jousei overtones, meaning it is highly likely female oriented (no offense intended), due to accent on interpersonal relationship between female lead and likely male lead. If you want action, then this one is slow paced. It slightly reminds me of Seijo no Maryoku, except that Seijo was HEAVILY focused on relationships, compared to this tile, which only accents them. Instead of devolving into heavy handed romance with people completely engrossed into thinking about their feelings, this title takes its time to take a look at the world, and tries to paint details of it, although in rather broad strokes, plus some of the things are handled in a bit heavy-handed moralistic fashion. The female lead is a bit of a ditz, but she is a happy/cheerful/energetic title, and not a stereotypical "weak female in glasses" you can encounter in some of the other works. So she is interesting to watch, she has her opinions, and although the loves to occasionally hint on someone's internal conflict, this is not too annoying and is not done too poorly.

The art is on better side. Detailed characters, although many of them transform into chibis for comedic purposes. Their personality is... passable. it is not awful, but some of them do not get enough screen tim, or spent a tiny bit too much in their "inner dialogue", which makes them not so lifelike. Overall it was interesting to see hints of the world, although I wish the author put more emphasis on it.

In short... not bad. You'll likely like it more if you're into josei/shoujo titles, but this might be worth checking out if you have free time. Aside from odd dark elements in the story this one is rather peaceful, and female lead dealing with alchemy is sort of interesting to watch.

6/10 story, 6/10 art, 5/10 character, 5/10 enjoyment, 6/10 overall.
