Arknights: Rise from Ember · review
This season has its ups and downs. Studio Yostar and the director are trying their best to squeeze the story of this new arc into 10 chapters, and overall, even though I haven't played the game, they're doing a good job so far. Story 8.5/10 It continues where Season 2 left off. Now we learn a little more about other characters like Talulah, Ch'en, W, Rosmontis, and Patriot. This arc is incredible so far, as each of them has an internal conflict, whether it's due to the war, the infected, or their past. This gives humanity to their characters. This new arc also has its great moments, like Amiya's speech, Ch'en rebelling against his father to go find Talulah, Patriot's death and determination, Rosmontis' desperation, and Talulah's past. Perhaps the only bad thing is W's story, which was rushed, and that was noticeable.
Protagonist 8.5/10
Amiya became a supporting character, but she's a good supporting character, being something of a voice of conscience to determine what's right and wrong, questioning other characters' misguided thoughts, trying to understand their situation, and gradually discovering new things about herself. His mysterious power and his relationship with Theresa, the former leader of Rhodes Island.
Soundtrack and Animation: 9/10
The opening and ending are gems with great significance to the story of Arknights, and there's also a noticeable improvement in the animation, which is great.
