This manga plain old fun, For anyone who is familiar whit Takuma Yokota art you will feel really pleased whit how his art style has evolved into a more polished line work, while maintaining his unique style, and as usual, the manga is full of anime and manga references which help archive this 90s feeling. Besides that, when they play magic, he does some interesting illustrations of how he fantasies about how card effects would look when played, at they help you understand what is happening even if you don't know the card, because, they really don't tell what the card does, but they left youwhit enough clues to understand what its happening.

As usual whit Katsura the protagonist is a odd-ball (this time a Chuunibyou), but always in the pocking fun of one self kinda way, the kind of person you will meet in your school who is a fun guy but bad at socializing, like most his other works.

The story revolves, at possibly a fragment of his youth, in which he was at school playing Magic, but this early TCG era in which people would slam whatever into the deck [not that I'm too familiar whit Magic], so this sense of non net-deck really helps fulfill those feelings of youth exploration of the world and lack of ability to fully understand [The game], help in a sense to the other part of the manga, the romance, or more in a sense, female friendship, its really fun how bot of them [The MCs] are both the smartest and the dumbest, so you get this fun dynamic of characters that hate each other but are mostly interested in the same sorta things but are unable to fully express their feelings outside [The game].

This is a one shot, and i haven't read the manga, yet, but i think anyone who likes Onanie Master Kurosawa could enjoy this more light hearted romance full of 90s nostalgia, even if as me, are not all that familiar whit it.
