As someone who sat through Ex-Arm, Berserk (2016), and Gibiate… trust me — this ain’t even the same league. The animation here is actually really good. It blends 3D models with cel shading in a way that gives characters a strong manga-like presence, instead of that stiff, lifeless CGI people usually complain about. Now, pacing? Yeah — this anime is straight-up speedrunning the story. If you’re not a fan of 3DCGI, that’s completely fair. But comparing this to the likes of Ex-Arm or Gibiate in terms of animation quality?Not even close.

This remake clearly leans more toward a new audience rather than OG fans of the original Fist of the North Star.

And honestly? That’s not a bad thing.
