The story of a boy screwed over by circumstance, people, and gods on numerous occasions. Vandalieu is a boy who has been driven to insanity by the cruelty and unfairness around him and yet to many people he might not seem the slightest bit insane because he’s not a raving lunatic despite definelty being crazy. Don’t go into this expecting the wrong thing, yes the main character is insane, yes he wants revenge against certain groups, and yes he isn’t afraid to kill. But, this does not mean he becomes an indiscriminate mad man murdering everyone who even looks at him wrong like some MCshe is both kind and cruel, rational and insane, good and evil. He wants revenge but doesn’t madly obsess over it and instead plans we’ll for the future while enjoying the life he finally has a chance for happiness in. I highly recommend the story.
