Review of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S

The first season was amazing and I was so thrilled we got a sequel! However, it didn't start off well and in my opinion the ending needed to be more emotionally deep than what we got. Visuals: everything looks amazing Sound: great voice acting and soundtrack Story and characters: 1) There's an episode of Mini Dragon (which if you don't know are the specials of this season) where Kobayashi literally admits she and Tohru are a couple. However, the 2nd episode of this anime has Kobayashi develop a penis (I won't spoil how or why). Most of this episode is spent erasing any possibility ofKobayashi ever feeling attracted to Tohru as a woman because that attraction only existed for as long as Kobayashi's penis existed. It'd make so much more sense and be way more enjoyable and way less problematic to have Kobayashi realizing that although she doesn't feel anything different towards Tohru, it's quite hard to hide boners. You'd get so much more character development from this and make it way funnier. But no, let's just pretend that sexual attraction comes from your own genitals and not from your brain/personality.
2) Regarding the ending, my biggest issue is that this is a sequel and although we got a lot of Tohru's backstory, Kobayashi feels pretty much the same character. This entire season to me felt such a waste on her development and evolution as a character. I'm very disappointed that we didn't see her becoming more honest with herself and others about what she really wants and feels.
3) If you enjoyed the 1st season, you'll definetely enjoy this one, too. Every character returns and gives us more reasons to laugh at and feel warm inside. We are also introduced to 3 or so new characters and I'd say they add more value to this gorgeous, sweet and amazing universe

This was very close to an 8/10 but I can't ignore how terrible the 2nd episode was and how empty the last episode felt to me. Nonetheless, I demand a 3rd season because I need more of this world in my life and also Kobayashi&Tohru's relationship development!!!
