Review of Fena: Pirate Princess

To continue to add to 2021's animes that have disappointed. I present you to Kaizoku Oujo, and this folks is where you expect something great and it fails. Animation wise I can harp on how this looked like a stellar masterpiece, and a standard of improvement in the anime industry. However, I would be lying to myself and anyone else who read this review to come into this anime expecting a great story. You would have thought this would make you expect a pirate voyage of some kind while not trying to be One Piece. I have not seen Yona of the Dawn, but Ihave heard great things about it. Fena, was a chore to get through and you feel underwhelmed as each episode passes by. Nothing about this anime made it feel like it needs to be rewatched or seen again. I am sure there was effort, but this felt like it was trying to be 4 or 5 different things in itself. So, I would give this a 5 out of 10.
