My rating is pretending as if the show stops after episode 7 (which is what you should watch up to). The initial chemistry and setup is a total blast, and the way Hori and Miyamura come together is unbelievably cute. People seem to be complaining about a lack of a gimmick or something but something a lot of anime fans might not realize is that falling in love in real life doesn't actually mean you have to have a deep seated promise since childhood or used to fight each other all the time or have some kind of magical fated bond. Sometimes people are justattracted to each other, and things go from there. Real people aren't actually that interesting a lot of the time - so honestly it was refreshing to see our two leads, despite having their own trials and awkward reconciliations, be honestly very normal. Ishikawa's arc was also sweet at times.

that being said, the rest of the supporting cast was not terribly interesting, which is why I'm choosing to ignore the episodes after 7, because they focus primarily on characters who are not the main two and who are very hard to care about. Further, in these later episodes, the conflicts between the romantic leads become harder to understand and honestly just boring. It's as if the show switched writers or something, because the tone completely shifts and the quality just declines from there.

Still giving this a 7 because of how adorable the first half of the show is.
