Review of Gangsta.

[Edit: Just updating my review because it's been some time since I posted this and I wanted to add more details] Show themes: Violence, weapon use, drug use, sex and nudity So to start off I have read the manga and I hope the author brings it back! The anime still holds a special place in my heart even after all this time. I love how this is more of an adult show because of the themes being portrayed by the characters, but that doesn't stop it from being funny or having heartwarming moments. The anime just shows the tip of the iceberg, ifyou enjoy this then please go read the manga - it's got more funny moments between the characters, some angst, and all that jazz.

The anime came out in 2015 but still, the animation and effects look nice. It's a shame that the production company had to close, if they didn't then I think this anime would have been recommended a lot more. But back on topic, the character designs are pretty interesting, I've heard some people say that the company (and author of course) did really well with addressing Nicolas's deafness - it doesn't hold him back, he and other characters joke about it, and the VAs did a wonderful job at voicing him too.

Overall, I could probably go on and on about my love for this anime. I always recommend this whenever people ask for any recs, I have rewatched it plenty of times but I don't get bored of it - the action scenes are cool, the comedy is actually funny, the themes aren't childlike (not saying that's a bad thing but this does set itself apart from the rest), and the characters are just loveable! So if you're in the mood to watch a short anime (12 episodes) and get into some action, comedy, and angst then please watch this!
