Review of Sword Art Online

Okay I haven't written any reviews on MAL but seeing as how much people are trying to bash on SAO I have to get a few things straight with them. I have been watching Anime for a long time now, maybe like 20 years and the SAO was one of the first Gaming Isekai type show I had ever watched back then. So the premise and the plot was quite unique and different from your normal shows at that time. Those who have played JRPG & MMORPGs can really understand what I am trying to say, having character development inside of an anime same as in RPGswas a unique thing and it was really fun to watch.
The stakes in the first half of the SAO were dire and you can lose your life, which made it more thrilling, SAO had infinite potential and apart from a few really cringe type moments SAO for the first half was a 10/10 no other Anime has yet been able to create such high stakes and immersive isekai world.

After Aincard Arc the game lost its luster as if the writer just gave up and was just milking the show for no reason. But the first Arc for how much it lasted is a great Arc all around, those who bash on it either haven't played JRPGs and are not too familiar with gaming culture or they just like to bash on shows which gets really popular.

SAO is a must watch for what its worth, it has given birth to whole gaming isekai world. Only for that reason alone it deserve praise.
