Just a note: I have not watched any other anime or manga related to this series. I had no information about this series excluding what I saw on Netflix. Story: I thought the concept was very interesting initially. I thought there was a lot of possibilities and ideas to explore. I felt that many of the ideas were only explored in a rushed and shallow manner. They had a few info dumps that hardly explained anything and almost every episode I had more and more unanswered questions. Many episodes were left on forced "cliffhangers" and would sometimes even be resolved in the next episode. Onething it does do well, though, is display its brutality and sexuality very clearly and openly.

Animation:

The art was the best part of the show for me. Though it might not be for everyone, it's very unique and stylish. The colours were very pretty. Because it's drawn in this way, I felt that it could get away with animation errors without them being to glaring.

Sound:
Though I enjoyed both the ending and opening, I didn't notice anything memorable during the actual show.

Characters:

I really disliked this aspect of the show. Many characters only had singular traits. It was also difficult to understand why they did things, because the way they acted wasn't consistent. Many characters were only briefly shown, and then had a few minutes of development before quickly dying. I had no connection or sympathy for any characters because they were all so black and white, or shown in a "You're supposed to like this character/not this one" that I couldn't bring myself to like anyone.

Lots of the characters could be completely explained by saying "He's nice, she's nice, he's evil, he's religious," and you wouldn't be missing anything about their character.

Other
Because I watched the dub, this might not apply to the sub, but SO many lines were painfully cringy. There were many moments/scenes like this as well, so it's probably not a problem with the sub.

I feel like a majority of the reviews I've read mention the original material. Maybe it is better if you've read the source, but I just found it laughable/confusing. Wouldn't really recommend to anyone.
