Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

This anime is near perfect, easily in my top 3 anime series. From beginning to end it kept me engrossed with the story, characters, and overarching analysis and questioning of humanity without being too heavy-handed. Great art, amazing soundtrack, proper pacing, believable story, characters, and motivations. In a medium that seems to be less and less driven by narrative and character, I was surprised to find out what an absolute gem Parasyte turned out to be. It really hit home on all fronts for me and I felt like it wrapped up perfectly as well. There are two types of anime series that I tend towrite reviews for - Animes that are really good and ones that are really bad. Parasyte is a masterpiece. It blends together the right amounts of psychological narrative, action, and memorable characters brought to life with stunning animation, great voice acting, and a very fitting soundtrack. The result is superb, there are very few animes that I've been motivated enough to binge watch, but this one was impossible not to!
