Review of A Place Further Than The Universe

(spoilerless) I just finished watching this anime , and I am definitely feeling excited enough to persuade other people to give this a shot . This is a winter 2018 short anime with 13 episodes . At first , it seemed a typical plot with a slice of life touch to me , but as the show progresses , it starts dealing with a multitude of plot points which are very well written , smoothly progressed and beautifully executed. Plot (8/10) the plot is fairly simple independently . However , when you pair it with the intricate characters and emotions associated with them , it really shines out .At a first glance , you may think that its simply an adventure involving dangerous rides but its literally SO MUCH more than that. In fact , its mostly different from that . There is not any pointless or impossible plot point executed just to satisfy the viewers and make it into a typical cinematic plot . The backstory of some characters could be done better though . As the show progresses , the plot becomes more complex , but the emotions and the themes it executes are relatable to everyone . At the end , you're simply left satisfied with it , with just one word to summarize all of it at once - beautiful.

Character Development (10/10)
The characters are at the absolute strong suit of this show . All the characters have their own unique developments , and their relations develop progressively and simultaneously which complement to their growth . The characters are nowhere near the mainstream , and their relations make each individual character outgrow their negatives giving an objective to the plot.

Animation (9/10)
Amazing animations and breathtaking views . The animation honestly complements the plot incredibly (you'll understand the statement when you watch the anime :)

Enjoyment (10/10)
This show kept my attention in all its scenes , with moments of laughter , sorrow , joy and simply appreciating the beauty of its entirety. It is astonishingly consistent , the majority won't get bored for a second with it .

Themes and VAs (9.5/10)
the themes were good and went well with the anime . The VAs did a STUNNING job , I really liked each and every one of them :)

Overall (9.5 / 10)This anime advances beyond the feel of any particular genre . The feeling you get post watching it is simply beautiful (yes , I really mean that word) . You want to shout with joy and stay silent doing nothing but smiling at the same time. it's definitely worth a shot.

PS : Please don't hold too many expectations from this review , keeping high hopes before starting makes it seem underwhelming and hyped.
