おふ~ This show is by far the best comedy I have ever seen. At the time I was recommended Saiki, I was reluctant to watch it as I was watching Seven Deadly Sins at the time. After that binge was over, I finally decided to watch this show and it was by far the best pick up that I've had in a very long time. I feel like Saiki really nailed it in terms of keeping characters loyal to their tropes. While character consistency isn't the hardest task in the world, the fact that they were able to accomplish this while keeping the show funny and interestingfor +2 seasons was very impressive. From Kaidou keeping things G-rated to Nendou being a complete idiot with a heart of gold, the show made sure that every character brought something to the show, and I never thought that a character was there just for the sake of being present. Each character provided an extreme of the trope that they were supposed to represent and it was really well executed.

I don't know why but I really enjoyed this show and rewatched it multiple times, only to laugh again at jokes that I knew were coming. When I watched it a third time with a friend who was watching it for the first time, I laughed again. I don't know why but this show just played perfectly into my taste in comedy. On top of that, the story wasn't super bland, as character development happened within the shorts and kept the show interesting. Overall, this is definitely a show that I would recommend to anybody, as I feel like it doesn't rely on too many of the tropes that people find weird about anime (mostly the signature anime sexualization) while staying loyal to anime-esque tropes. Definitely a must-watch
