I’m really glad I didn’t read the MAL synopsis of Tsurebito beforehand, because I probably would’ve skipped it entirely. The summary makes it sound childish, cliche, and forgettable — and the manga is anything but that. From the very first chapters, the art completely pulled me in. It’s remarkably detailed and, at times, reaches the level of some of the most iconic pages in Claymore. The style isn’t wildly experimental, but the sheer care, precision, and atmosphere in every panel make it impossible not to appreciate. The story itself is quite unique, it moves between moments of brutal darkness and gentle lightness. Every major character grows andshifts throughout the narrative, constantly reshaping your understanding of them and your emotional stance toward the events. I really like that.

It’s short, but powerful and it absolutely deserves far more attention than it gets.
