This is coming from someone who is only familiar with the animated series and not the manga to compare with, and I have to say, it was an okay second season, similar to its predecessors. Story-telling: 6/10 I have been exposed to some manga leaks here and there of some cool looking panels posted online, and I honestly expected some high class story-telling with all the hype, but it sort of came off too childish for me personally, at least in the anime. In fact, watching the plots play out have indeed made me question whether I've mentally grown out of enjoying this sort of contentin general... but I doubt that, and this is an action anime that I initially started watching long ago just for fun. So I would not suggest going into this show expecting high-quality writing, that said the world-building for me is extraordinary, and there were definitely some moments that were really awesome to see.

Animation: 7.5/10
Every OP and ED in this season are just perfect to watch and listen to. Even from the first season, I can still recall its stellar OP. Truly, on their own, it's just so well-crafted with care. And it makes you wonder what the rest of the animation would have looked like, if it was done with similar time and care than what the management at MAPPA tried in desperately pushing things out last minute. Which quite frankly, I would not expect from a Japanese corporation to exhibit. Keep in mind that it took a week for each episode to be animated. A week. IN the old days, yes that was and is generally still is the norm... but now, what do you think the quality would have been if given, say, two weeks per episode instead? I could only imagine the kind of eye-candy that their animators could produce with today's very fine-tuning technology. It is really shocking to hear how mistreated their animators are, and the time-crunch deadlines for work that will be recalled decades from today (and won't get re-animated/touched upon ever again). If they are going to do it once, they better do it right to the fullest potential. I don't know what kind of "work culture" is happening over at MAPPA headquarters, but from a viewer's perspective it certainly does not embody any respect for work or culture with such mistreatment not just towards the animators, but also to the author for what could have been a way better produced animated series. These heavy time restrains aside, I am impressed with how the animators coped with it. There were some impressive visuals for sure, and the fluidity is just off the charts. Still eye-candy.

Voice Acting: 10/10
I'm no expert in discerning whether voice acting is high-tuned good or bad, especially for a foreign language I'm unfamiliar with, but it was leagues above what any English voice actor could accomplish. And it's a shame since EN dubs used to be my go-to for anime, but they just all seem like washed up old geezers who do not fit the character's physique or age for that matter. It really seems like a monopolized voice "industry" in the West that you simply get tired of hearing eventually. Now, I can only watch anime with Japanese set on... but it matches perfectly with the setting and overall vibe with this anime.

Overall: ~7/10
I think those are the main points to touch upon. I might have left out some major critics, but these are just what pops into my head on the forefront. Hence, likely what many viewers may feel right off the bat watching this series, that is, going in without manga context. From this season, I came to the conclusion that although it may be an action-packed series, that I should probably pick up the manga as well... as I suspect the anime was rushed and not fully adapted to the expectation of many devoted fans of the source material.
