The main story is predictable and simple—even though it’s somewhat entertaining. There’s no real depth in the main plot or side stories, and that’s definitely disappointing because this anime had the potential to be much better. Maybe not a 9 or 10, but it could’ve easily landed at a solid 7 or 8. The ending felt poorly written and lacked any real impact. The art style is mediocre. There are a few nice-looking scenes here and there, but for the most part, it feels pretty average. Would I recommend this anime? If you’re not expecting much and just want to chill, then yeah, maybe. But otherwise, notreally. It’s hard to tell a strong story in 12 episodes, and Ayaka doesn’t make the most of its time—neither the main plot nor the side stories really deliver.
