Review of KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!

Nothing special, but if you're a fan of Konosuba you'll probably want to learn more about the backstory. The thing that makes Konosuba so great and hilarious is our gang of 4, all together interacting with each other and having unique personality quirks that work together in hilarious ways. If any of them is separate it will just be bland, having said that Megumin probably has the richest backstory that is worth exploring, especially if you are a fan of series. So do not expect it to be similar to Konosuba, this is just a side show that reveals more backstory. It starts with mediocre high schoolstuff and moves up trough Megumin departure from school up to the the start of the first episode from season 1. So, imo it does get better and you get a slight touch of that "original" feeling towards the end, but only in traces. Without our gang the magic is simply not there.

Having said that, animation is good and it does have its funny moments. But the main thing why you should watch this is because you will learn more about Megumin backstory, there are a lot of references to the original show, with some interesting reveals of why some things happened - what goes around comes around :P
