Like a farewell to an old friend. AOT has been with me for so long, so it is hard to give a fair review of it. It is not a perfect work but is good enough. It is so different from other anime I have watched that I feel I will never see such work again in the future. A lot of people don't like how the story ends. I don't quite understand the ending and Eren's choice, but in 2023 with wars and conflicts and hatred happening everywhere in the world, I think it is just telling the truth - the war will neverend. So are people don't like the story, or are they don't like the reality? This is what I like most about AOT. I'd like to give it 12/10 for its reality. At the beginning of the story, it looks nothing like the real world, and then comes the astonishing turning point at the end of 3rd season, and even more stunning in the 4th of how similar it is to the world we live.

And I'd give it 13/10 for its characterization. Every character that carries part of the story on them, has their own development and storyline, complete or not. This makes it increasingly enjoyable to create fan art and enables the audience to think about how a character would act or what their complete story looks like.

I want to give the final season a 9.5, with 1 deducted from some poor art style and missing details, and 0.5 added for the added ending by MAPPA. But there is no such option, so 9/10. So long, my friend.
