Review of Redo of Healer

So let's get this out of the way: this anime has some nudity, sex, and graphic violence in it. So does Game of Thrones and everyone seemed okay with that. I'm not sure why people make such a big deal about it in this. It's neither porn, nor particularly anything special. It's not a masterpiece, it's not garbage. It's very much a revenge plot, but with a bit of a twist. Our "hero," who has suffered years of torture and abuse gains the ability to rewind time and start over. The thing is, the way he chooses to use his second chance is what made thiswhole story a bit weird to me as he seems to make choices to suffer again a second time in order to justify his revenge setups. Maybe the author wanted to really point out how broken he is.

I would say the story and motivations are a little flimsy but the main character keeps you engaged and you end up wanting to see what crazy thing he's going to do next or how he's going to twist things to suit his revenge fetish, or what his ultimate goal is. Because of that, as long as you're not squeamish, it's a relatively enjoyable romp and worth a binge.

If graphic revenge fantasies aren't your thing though, then you will not like it. Don't watch it just out of curiosity, you'll just be wasting your time.
