Angel Blade Punish! · review
I checked out Angel Blade mainly because of Masami Ōbari's involvement. I liked his work in Fatal Fury, and a hentai made by him sounded intriguing. I was disappointed the first time I saw it, but upon watching it again it has grown on me, a bit. Most of the animation is pretty lousy, but there are a few solid scenes in which Ōbari's distinct anime style shines through (especially the Magical Girl transformation sequence). Don't go in expecting too much from the story, because it's clumsy, generic and forgettable. But, let's be honest, nobody is watching this for the story, anyway. If you're hereto see cool anime girls in questionable situations, you probably won't be disappointed.
