I decided to pick it up solely for the nostalgia but realized it was great, most episodes are one-offs but the main plot was definitely good and unique for an anime for its time and for the demographic. Especially the characters and their dynamic, they are just simply too lovable, especially Bongo and Gangu. The pacing isn't all that bad, I think 52 episodes was too much for the story, maybe a bit few (around 30-40) would do better. Much of White Bomber's bomb throws had the same animation too but I didn't mind that much. All in all, I would recommend it especially if you havean inner-child
