This is the most complete anime series that I've ever watched. It shows you the narration of Yakumo about their pre-war and post-war lives. The struggles of Miyokichi following her unrequited love. The fight for rakugo's survival of Sukeroku to the next generation of rakugo tellers. It's simply amazing to see all that being compressed in a 12 episode anime. The quality of animation and the sound design also cannot be ignored. Especially when it was labeled as Studio Deen. It gave me such raw emotions that I've never been experienced before. The rakugo stories, I simply fall in love with it, it exposed meto a much more diverse Japanese entertainment culture.
