Review of Hyouka
The anime is like a mix between Sherlock Holmes and Koyomimonogatari from the Monogatari series. I mention both of these since they both provide a series of strange mysteries and mind puzzles to the main character and the main character attempts to make light of them. Story: I gave it 6 because it didn't really feel like there was a proper story. We get a feel for what the characters are like and we simply watch them encounter mystery after mystery while they go about their school lives. Art: Pretty creative and detailed.Sound:
Good sound, I suppose.
Character:
The main characters are interesting. I like that the not so important characters re-appear sometimes which makes it feel more realistic. What I mean is: if you're going to have a character appear only for a particular mystery, then that character feels more of a tool for the writer than an actual person.
Enjoyment:
I enjoyed it, because I like these type of mysteries. That paired with characters you're invested in makes for a fun time.
Overall:
It's an enjoyable anime. I'm not rating it any higher than 8 because I feel there could have been more done with stories regarding the characters.
