Review of Devilman: Crybaby

NO SPOILER REVIEW: I was hyped for this show, I didn't watch the old adaptation because it was too old for my taste. First epsodes were good it still didn't explain shit still I could overlook that but as the show went on it got sloppy. And the pacing.. Oh! Lord shit happen so fast that it doesnt make any sense especially episode 8 where bunch of new characters come in and shit just happens. Also there is no insight to why characters do things they just fuckin do. A moment they are good now evil oops good again with so little context it's total bullshit.I don't understand why people like it so much and why its got such a high score on MAL probably because dumb people watching whatever is on Netflix. They stuffed the senario of the manga into 10 episode not even 12. This show needed to be at least 2 seasons, it wasn't probably because budget issues and that explains the sloppy drawings at mid-end part too.

Some parts of the series had weird scenes like it was surreal and it was hard to understand whats going on where the characters are and so on especially in the fighting scenes it was like some guy planned this part and other guy planned some part of it drew them and they combined them. Those scenes where like random imagery more than a series it was surreal. And that didn't suit the actual style of the story in my opinion.

I didn't read the manga but now I will because they fucked up along the way while making this adaptation and I want to know how they failed.

But still it had good shit tho first fight scene where de mc becomes a devilman was the bomb. The soundtrack also was the bomb. I didn't have a problem with how characters were drawn and artsyle but i had a problem with how the animations were made and the connections between the scenes. This series could have been awesome but it was lacking in many aspects. If you want you can give it a try its still enjoyable but bad.
