I originally began watching Tsuki ga Kirei because of the unique art style which really piqued my interest. But as time went on what had started as a simple school romance series quickly evolved into much more. I found myself deeply immersed in the story and the hopes of the main characters. While on the surface the series may seem simple the true beauty is expressed in the subtleties. The pleasant art style matches the story being told perfectly. The story had enough new elements that it never felt cliche or predictable. No conflict felt forced or out ofplace. However, the main highlight for me were the characters. The fantastic voice-acting brings the characters seemingly to life and makes conversations seem warm and inviting. Little mannerisms are shown with each character such as facial expressions or nervous fidgeting which helps to make the characters feel like real people experiencing emotions we've all had. Each character's personality and priorities developed over time and helped the viewer understand who they truly are.

Above all, I'd say Tsuki ga Kirei was a masterpiece for my taste. Everything about it had me coming back for more and while the ending was complete, I was still slightly upset that the series had to end. This series is an easy 10 and i'd recommend it to anyone that's interested in the genre.
