Review of Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Future Arc

Future Arc takes place after the events of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Makoto Naegi, the Ultimate Hope who defeated the Ultimate Despair, Junko Enoshima, is under suspicion of treason against the Future Foundation for harboring the Remnants of Despair who carried on her will. As top members of the Future Foundation are brought together to decide on Makoto's punishment, they are all imprisoned by Monokuma. Monokuma forces everyone to participate in a final killing game, in which they must try and determine a traitor amongst their ranks who will kill them in their sleep, while also trying to avoid being poisoned to death by theirforbidden actions.

Story: 9
The story is intriguing and pulls you right in. What's special about this entry is that there are certain actions that the characters aren't allowed to do. We aren't shown the forbidden actions of the majority, but there are hints dropped here and there about what they might be.

The reveal of the mastermind was the disappointing part for me, specifically the intentions of the mastermind. They didn't feel justified.

There are a lot of plot twists that will keep you on edge.

Art: 10
The art is very nice, not much to say here.

Sound: 10
The music is outstanding, especially the opening. Gets you pumped up for the episode.

Characters: 10
All of the characters are really memorable and unique, although the designs are a bit lackluster which could be somewhat justified by the fact that they were all going to a meeting.

Enjoyment: 10
The series is really enjoyable from the start until the end. It will constantly keep you on the edge of your seat with its plot twists and cliffhangers. The only bad thing is that you have to watch the Despair arc to understand certain things.

Overall: 9
The only thing that keeps me from giving it a 10 is the intentions of the mastermind. Overall, I highly recommend Danganronpa 3: Future Arc.
