Review of A Lull in the Sea
Story 10/10 The story of Nagi no Asukara is an very interesting concept that I haven't seen in any of the anime I've watched. The plot for the 1st half of the anime is great. It shows romance between a few characters but that changes within the series (obviously). It shows the consequences between land and sea residence have a relationship together which in my opinion is a very cool concept.Within the last few episodes of the 1st half, the anime takes a drastic turn that is sure to shock watchers. In the 2nd half, the anime takes a somewhat slower pace and maturer feel.Events unravels and secrets are discovered. The love interestsfor characters are changed for some. This cause more drama to unfold within the anime. In the end of the anime, everything works out and new journeys are unfolded.
The way things were introduced within the anime along with the plot and events concludes why it was given this score.
Art 10/10
I think PA Works did a great job on this anime. The vivid color pallet and animation used for this anime brings out the story and it grabbed the watchers' eyes .I didn't see any flaw in the visuals department.I honestly can't seen any other way this anime could have been animated and be as impactful as it was.
Sound 10/10
Personally,I loved the OST of Nagi no Asukara. It mainly consists of guitar and piano pieces. While listening to the sound track,I found that it consisted of peaceful, calming and serene music. The music help to emphasize an event or any scenario within the anime. With such a serene sound track,it helps the view to reflect on the situation being displayed.
Characters 9/10
The character are for the most part likable. It was fun seeing them develop and mature as the anime progressed. The only thing that dragged this down for me was the fact that one of the main characters (MC) cried a lot with in the series.
Enjoyment 10/10
It's true that the anime has its slow moments but the amazing parts in the anime honestly counters that.It was one of those anime that's unexpected but you find out what it is if you're willing to take the journey.I think people under estimate this anime and decides to skip it but it just one of those hidden gems.
