Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling · review
If you liked shows like Campfire Cooking in Another World or Farming Life in Another World - this should be a good fit! I feel like most reviewers so far went into it expecting a fast-pace battle-filled Isekai story with lots of dark and mature themes, and were instantly put-off by the slightly lighter tone and slower pace of this anime. To me it feels more like a "what if I was a dragon" slow-burn slice of life kind of thing with similar vibes to Dragon Goes House-Hunting than your typical Isekai. But that doesn't mean that there is no action or cataclysms at stake! I tookthe liberty to take a peek at some of the later chapters of source material and it looks like this isn't going to be just the regular run-of-the-mill Isekai RPG either, with future chapters tackling the origin of the "divine voice" that keeps explaining stats and the likes, as well as covering a plethora of other unique lore mysteries.
So all-in-all I believe this is a chill anime to which one can simply relax after a week of work, guess what the hero is going to do next, and imagine what you would have done in his place. Not a masterpiece, but definitely not as bad as some of the other reviewers say! Give it a try and judge for yourself, at least the first few episodes :)
P.S. I maaaay be slightly biased due to liking mythical creatures like dragons and gryphons, and having always wanted an anime like this, so your mileage may vary...
