Our Youth · review
Our youth was honestly, such a good read. And, that might be an understatement. When I first came across it, I wasn't expecting much, but the refreshing title and the simple yet charming art style pulled me in. To this day, I have not yet read a piece of work with an equivalent, realistic outlook on relationship growth, while also targeting the characters personal issues, that reflect societal flaws. I loved the way the characters' personalities, emotions and views were expressed. The pacing was amazing, truly, accurate, showcasing the doubt and fear, but also the longing and constant care caused by a person's first love. I don'twant to spoil anything, so I am keeping this short. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I genuinely think there is a lot to enjoy in this work. I undoubtedly recommend it, and would again and again, especially if you are looking for a story you will be able to feel, more than just read.
I hope you are able to enjoy it, as much as I did.
