Kazemachi no Futari · review
Beautifully sad, but an essential read. When past memories bring remorse, life can feel meaningless. Yet sometimes, we can still find happiness in those lost moments. As many have said, it’s not about how many loved ones we’ve lost, it’s about how we remember them. A similar quote appeared in "Sayonara Eri" too, when I read it yesterday. I became emotional while reading. I was reliving my own past. I felt that same remorse. But unlike the painter in this beautiful manga, I haven’t fully come to terms with my past. That’s why I connected with it so deeply, because sometimes, letting go and acknowledging the memoriesis a way of living too.
I’m amazed that this little 14 chapters manga, with only 78 completed reads, 14 currently reading, and a total of 198 members, with even the score marked N/A, could hit me this hard.
I loved the painterly art style. I don’t think anything else could have made such an impact.
I absolutely loved it. If you’re reading this review, please read it.
