Slow Loop · review
I never even went fishing before, but I liked this anime. The thorough explanations on how to fish can get a bit tiresome at times, but they are still written in such as way that even the most novice of players would have no issue following along. At the end of the day, it is a very calming show; a TV watching experience that leaves you feeling light and relaxed. The narrative is okay, but I kind of wish it had more focusing on the slice-of-life aspects in order to really connect with the cast and show their everyday lives. Furthermore, the flashbacks to give depthon their past did feel a bit sparse at times and could have explored more of that.
As for the production, while it gets its job done well enough in terms of audio and visuals compared to most anime series, they are certainly nothing special. The bright side of that is the soundtrack; it makes for quite an entertaining ride. The ending theme is especially nice and I could listen to it on repeat.
