Usually, in romcom manga or anime, the timeline feels frozen until the finale, where the characters either graduate or get married. But here, it’s much more realistic, which I really appreciate. The timeline actually progresses as the story moves forward. I’m writing this review after catching up with the latest chapter, so I don’t recall exactly how old the characters were in the prologue, but both the protagonist and heroine start out as students. As time goes on, they advance from first-years to second-years, then to third-years, eventually graduating, and so on. It’s not just the timeline that develops, their relationship does too. Most romcoms are allrainbows and sunshine with cute, funny, and heartwarming moments. This one has all of that, but it also adds a layer of realism. The main characters struggle to balance their responsibilities with their relationship, which ain't always easy. Yet, they stick together, doing their best while supporting each other through everything. If you’re looking for a romcom that’s not just fluff, but also grounded in realism, I highly recommend this one.
