REFRESHING TAKE ON A CLASSIC IN A RATHER DULL ANIME SUMMER 2024 LINE UP. For most that dont know this Grendizer is one of the classic Go Nagai Mechas orginally developed in the 1970s. Its part of Manzinger trilogy aand yes Manzinger appears and is heavily features in this series. What i found great about watching this us that it does a do a good job introducing the exisoting world and characters. The characters are some typical anime tropes but guess what??? these are OG characters thay started so they are allowed their space to be who they orginally are. Its simple enough for viewers to getonboard and has enough world building and lore to keep vetrans like myself engaged.

What really is impressive is how good the mechas in this series look. As my only other review are for mechas animes i was very impressed on how good some of the robots and battles are. Even watching Grendizer hover around gave it a realistic approach.

Music is straight fire. OP and ending*ill be singing the outro it gets stuck in your head. as well. In show music brings some old skool feel to it with a modern touch.

The story is well typical 70s mecha with a few
twists on loyalty, betrayal, discrimination, love and honor. Not the best but not the worst. Certainly not as bad as some of the pop shonen we see today.

A definate watch for Mecha lovers and great intro for new viewers
