B-Project: Passion*Love Call · review

This season was just so lackluster for an idol anime season. It was great to hear B-pro got a 3rd season. But, just why did Ultraz have to be in this season? It just made no sense at all. This season just feels like a non canonical spin off. If only they made it more intersting, but this season just did not do well. Characters, the boys themselves are fine, but sadly each of their episodes were just okay. It's just them being them. Tsubasa was frustrating as she had so many moments to be a good A&R, but of course she is the helpess heroineyou'd expect. Ultraz. There was so much focus on A-suke, and B-ta just felt like he was there to just exist. A-suke was very annoying. I will still not get over that ep where he got so butt hurt over Tsubasa eating out with Thrive instead of them. B-ta is just there. He had no interesting qualities. Just there to be pretty. Yes, for anime only people, Killer King was introduced in the second season and that it would make sense to add another group, but Killer King has been around for a long time in the franchise itself. They were hinted in the first season too. Ultraz are just for the anime only, but no way did it feel natural for them to be added.
Story, it's your usual slice of life. I really wished they kept on going with the Yashamaru story, but they just ignored it completely and only gave him 1 second of screen time. Totally just ignoring the whole conflict in season 2. This whole season would not have been that much different if Ultraz was never there. I just don't understand having two yourtubers in an idol anime. They just felt so forced to be there and interact with the boys we know. Also, Moons just didn't feel like they existed they had such little screen time.
Other issues I saw, they certainly blew the budget on that 3d animation. I noticed Moons ep looking so off and seeing that final ep, it made sense what they did. I also find it funny they gave everyone 3d, but Ultraz. The 3d performance just was lacking so much. 3d was smooth, and models were fine, but the overall execution was just not there. Reuse of animation and the same 10 still images.
Overall, this season just doesn't exist to me. If anyone wants to watch it go ahead. I've seen people like Ultraz and that's okay. But, this season should just be ignored and never discussed again. It just felt like the creators just wanted to please the fans and rushed this whole thing. I love idol animes and B-pro's first two seasons were good, but this one just made me feel exhausted having to push through it and not feeling satisfied in the end.I had fun with watching the boys' eps. The anime was fine, but there were so many things that just made it hard to fully enjoy it.
