I don't get why everyone hates this so much. I swear if I had watched it at 13 I would have loved it to pieces, and even now, much later, it feels like a guilty pleasure I wanted to drop but couldn't. There's this one (initially annoying but sensible enough) young girl and 12 ( actually more like 15) hot guys all simping for her. It sounds weird but it's actually a really chill setting, all the guys are extremely gentlemanly and HANDSOME as hell. There's like, not a single frame where each guy doesn't look hot, not a derpy face ever. I haven't seen such artisticconsistency even in top production otome game series, it's crazy.

Animation is quite good both in normal and action scenes and doesn't feel cheap, although I did shed a tear for the werewolves design because god they're ugly ahh wolves lol

The dialogues flow quickly and pleasantly. It's actual banter and not stifled sentences or long ass monologues, just the golden mean.

Now of course I need to warn you that the plot is, as I said, something so contrived and poorly handled only a 13 year old could enjoy it (or at least be able to ignore it).
A bunch of open ends are not tied together, the pacing is swinging from slice of life to lethal combat far too suddenly and some scenes are just tokenized or thrown there with no connection with the others.

However, the emotional factor is solid: music, atmosphere and detailed "acting" really carried some moments home. I'm fascinated how much I got invested even when I was skeptical about liking this.
It's a twilight teen movie in 2d, don't expect intriguing mindgames, just sit back, enjoy and write fanfiction about it.

I watched this not knowing it was literally an anime homage to kpop band ENHYPEN. I didn't know them but now I'm a fan. Great OP and ED.
Also the VAs... my boys Uemura, Chiba and Toya did such a great job! Yuki Kaji too!

Give this series a chance, it's great for chilling and daydreaming.
