As a fan of Ghost in the Shell this is a worthy successor to the original manga. Written by Junichi Fujisaku who worked on Stand Alone Complex and drawn by a new artist Yuuki Yoshimoto. The art is a very realistic looking with unique designs you rarely see in manga. There are 3 arc across 8 volumes with really cool settings, the cold snowy Hokkaido region, a unique and prolific central African setting, and a final arc that fits right in with the philosophy side of GitS. My only down sides are 1, the arcs are kinda stretched out so it can feel like ittakes a while and 2, it does have kinda reading requirements to it. I would recommend to read the original 1989 The Ghost in the Shell then it's sequel 1.5 Human-Error Processer and then dive into this. After this you could probably 2 Man-Machine Interface but that one's kinda eh. But other then that it's a great cyberpunk police procedural crime action with dynamic characters and philosophy to boot.
