Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded · review

So the rest of the episodes FINALLY got completely subbed so I could actually finish watching it (no idea why it was so slow compared to previous MS series). Definitely doesn't hold a candle to the Ren and Lucifer series ngl, but worth a watch if you're an MS fan. Show is pretty boring until the halfway point, but then it does become pretty decent (but again, doesn't come anywhere near the other two). That final battle though was especially pretty good imo. The main cast and the main villain (Nowhere, the second reaver, pro gaslighter) especially are pretty decent. Also seeing Oragon again waspretty neat, just a shame he didn't reference previous series, or even do anything for that matter.
Now things I DON'T like:
- The first half, obviously.
- The story was a bit all over the place. Wasn't necessarily confusing, but felt like they tried to include too many things at once.
- The "core" gimmick is genuinely stupid, didn't exist in previous series, didn't need to exist here.
- The fact that humans randomly transforming into monsters... why? Lead to some cool battles but why lol (and I know monsters from previous series were humans in past lives, but we never saw transformations on screen, if that makes sense).
But yeah... we move.
The ending definitely sets up for a season 2, and I will be watching it, but that's only because I'm a big MS fan. Solid 6/10 though.
