Review of Horimiya

To be perfectly honest, I don't understand what it is with people disliking this show. I watched all of Horimiya in one night and is the only anime to make me actually cry. Regardless of the poor story, I think that Horimiya does what it wants almost perfectly. I don't think it's supposed to have some AMAZING glaring story to it, but rather it just wants to be a wholesome anime. That's what I'd like to think, but I'll never know. Regardless, I really don't see where the "1" overall reviews are coming from. Even if it's not a 7 or an 8, a 1 is literally theshittiest show ever. As in you wouldn't watch it even if someone paid you to. Literally.
Overall, I enjoyed it a lot. The relationship between Miyamura and Hori really pick up early which is really different from a lot of shows I've watched where it takes 30 episodes to get to the point of them holding hands or something.
The art looks amazing as well and is pretty consistent. The side characters are not as interesting, but some of them have their moments. Even if it's not a 8/10 for you, I really don't see a reality in this show being below a 5/10.
