Final Score: 7/10 Honestly, I'm not sure what to think about Horimiya because it was not really what I expected, but it wasn't terrible either?? I do have a few nitpicks about it based on my own preference that affected my viewing pleasure: 1. One nitpick is what happened to emo piercing-looking Miyamura?? This emo dude shows up for an episode or two and "never shows up again". Really thought I was gonna see a guy with piercings throughout this anime, but that's not the case. If you saw the trailer and was happy that there is a cute long hairedpiercing dude in it, you will be disappointed because Miyamura won't look like that for long. I wish I saw the "emo" version for a little longer.
2. I thought it was gonna be a cute and fluffy romance anime, that shows the development of Hori and Miyamura's relationship, with a lot of cute scenes between them two (kinda like Blue Spring Ride or Say I Love You). If you are looking for a romance like that, Horimiya is not like that. I felt like the first couple episodes sets you up for a cute romance, and once the two get together, it kinda just slows down and just moves onto other characters with snippets of Hori and Miyamura's relationship. That definitely disappointed me a lot.

I think as a slice of life, it's cool. It shows the typical lives of high schoolers, and the characters are all pretty likable in my opinion. It has some funny moments, and still enjoyable to some extent.

Basically, if you are looking for a cute, fluffy romance, you won't find that in Horimiya. If you are looking for a high school slice of life, then I think Horimiya fits that more.
