Review of Vinland Saga Season 2

"You don't have any enemies. No one has any enemies. There's no one who it's okay to hurt." These are the words that Thors, Thorfinn's father, once said to him as he was a child. After S1's bloody battlefields, S2 greets us with a completely different atmosphere. If action is all you care about, avoid this show. If you're looking for some of the best character development an anime has to offer, you MUST watch this show. I have never written a review for an anime before, but this story hit me so hard that I had to share with others just how incredible it is.Thorfinn, through his own personal development, is an inspiration to any person out there who wants to be better. The anti-war message delivered by Vinland Saga in S2 is somewhat unexpected, given the fact that S1 was ALL about revenge and murder.

The characters are all fleshed out, and well-written. All of them represent themes that are far greater than their individual character. However, despite each character's strengths and weaknesses, this anime loves to remind us that life is not fair - no matter how hard you work, you are powerless in the face of war.

Vinland Saga S2 is easily the best anime to come out in 2023, and it would be a shame if you missed out because of the lack of action. Watch it. Seriously.
