I enjoyed this movie/episode a lot. I went to a theatre to see it with some friends (twice) and it has been a very cool experience to see it play out on the big screen. Nagi is my favorite character so it was awesome to take a deeper dive into his backstory, and Reo's too. I don't really see it as a recap, maybe the later half could be more considered a recap, but all the scenes are still from Nagi's perspective and has his thoughts over certain parts. I enjoyed the movie a lot, the ending was a little bit rushed but it didmake sense because the ending of the movie was just parts that were in the anime, so it was fine to brush over it. By the way there are after credits scenes, so don't leave too early. Overall, it was a good movie and I enjoyed watching it in the theatre, Nagi is my favorite character so as long as he is on the screen I'll like it. 8/10, can't wait for season 2.
