(This review will be based on personal opinion as a straight guy and I will try my best not to give any spoiler) Sasaki to Miyano is a romance done right. If you're the type of person who likes to enjoy a romance with good plot, being simplistic and has no fanservice or too much drama, this might be a good show. Although it's a BL, the story is literally wayy too wholesome, there's no signs of toxic relationships (which some of the bls have in common) and the character development is top notch. The show is literally about Miyano Yoshikazu, a shy, introverted guy alwaysbeing insecure about his looks being similar to girl and Shuumei Sasaki, who fell in love in first sight when he saw him. The story starts when Miyano finds his friend get beaten up by a group of guys and try thinking to save him. Sasaki, who was nearby, read the room and stopped Miyano and told him to ask for help while he helps his friend. By this, Miyano had big admiration to his senior which kept growing each and every time
Sasaki, liking miyano, tries hanging out with him, call him cute names, being too clingy which makes Miyano why he's being so close to him. Sasaki, being curious about Miyano, asks for what his hobby were, which flustered Miyano because he's an Otaku who's obsessed with boy's love stories. Taking the huge risk, Miyano hands his favorite bl to his senior Sasaki and by his surprise, his senior like it too. And then they gradually feel that they are more than junior and senior. The way they portraited how both characters would think how to treat each other better is truly relatable for most of us.

The animation literally made the scenes look wholesome. The opening made by miracle chimpanzee was literally a banger. The osts were good as well. Both the dub and the sub were great, but I like the dub more.

Overall, straight people like yaoi/yuri even though they might not be into it irl. And Sasaki to miyano is the perfect example for that. So, give it a try and see if you like it
