Review of Diabolik Lovers II: More,Blood
This is going to be short and sweet because there's really not that much material to review with Diabolik Lovers. For those who have seen season 1: If you're looking for an improved story line and an actual plot, you aren't going to find it here. More Blood is just as pointless as season 1. So if you didn't like the first season you probably won't like this one either. Don't waste your time unless you're only watching it to see the pretty boys. For those who haven't seen season 1: If you're looking for some great vampire romance series that has some deep meaning and plot, this isn't going to deliver. But if you're just looking for a guilty pleasure anime to watch with some very attractive boys (10 to be exact) then this is great. I suggest watching the first season before this one though the plots (or lack there of) don't really connect on a level where you'd absolutely need to see the first season.
So overall Diabolik Lovers: More Blood is definitely just a guilty pleasure anime and nothing more. The story doesn't go anywhere. At least in season 1 the pitiful plot was wrapped up properly. In MB we don't even really know what the plot is until the second to last episode. And then when it finally is revealed the season ends completely inconclusively. They left it wide open for a third season which I have no doubt they'll make. There is little to no character development at all. Maybe they could do better with that if the shows were longer than 15 minutes. The good points for this anime is the art style is lovely and the music is superb. But other than that Diabolik Lovers: More Blood is pretty one dimensional and not worth the time if you're looking for something with a complex plot and deeper meaning.
