Review of Dororo

Finally found a good place to watch this anime, and I'm glad I did! This is the type of anime I needed right now (action, samurai and demons... what else could you ask for?) Let's get into the anime basics; first the Story. You start the story with a man who has given up on Buddha and has decided to give himself and anything he owns to demons. Little did he expect him son to be taken away from him; no limbs, skin or way to cry. You then watch this sad human grow up and meet Dororo on his quest to kill demons that wayhe can regain his human parts back from the demons that have taken them. LO-VE this story so much. Art was brilliant; the fighting, emotional, burning down the place scenes were done so beautifully. I have no complaints (I even love how plan Dororo looked sometimes... they sometimes made Dororo look like a blobby circle with eyes haa haa). The OST was beautiful, no doubt about it. I was surprised when a second op/ed came in just because the first ones were so perfect... but then I realized just like the characters we've been watching grow the OST has to go along with it. Ahhh, maybe it's just been awhile since I watched a samurai/sword-fighting anime but the clanging of the metal was so satisfying. The characters are what made the anime so fantastic. A boy who desperately wants to live and doesn't know the first place to start but fight for his body, and Dororo who happened to be saved by Hyakkimaru and follows him on his journey. I love how their relationship grows throughout the whole anime... they need to stay together forever.

Overall, I think Dororo is an excellent anime.

The only reason I didn't give it 10/10 is because of how it ended. I was so happy Hyakkimaru was able to gets all his body back, say his last words to his Mama and even part with his dad. But the fact he just had to up and leave Dororo... and THEN you only get a glimpse of her beauty as she runs to Hyakkimaru on a bridge? I was going to suggest this anime to my friends but I already know they won't like the ending like me.

I've tried doing research on the manga, and I hope it continues this series perfectly! Maybe it'll be a FMAB situation; how it doesn't follow the manga and continues past the end of the anime we got. If you need a little action, demon fighting and to get emotional then I suggest this anime to you.
